MPH Portfolio Introduction
IMG_3843.jpg
Hello, I am Alita Alee and this web page is an overview of my work as an MPH candidate at San Francisco State University’s Master of Public Health – Community Health Education program. This portfolio represents samples of various academic projects I have completed during this program. My work demonstrates the required competencies in eleven areas for this degree. The Evidence of Competence section (in each section) will provide you with samples of work that demonstrate how each competency were satisfied.

My team and individual projects have provided me with invaluable and direct experience via my team placement with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and my internship at the Berkeley Health Center for Women and Men. My final project is a workshop addressing the health effects of racism entitled Responding to Unequal Treatment in the Prevention of Hypertension, of which I am especially proud. These samples of my work only provide a glimpse into the passion, and dedication that I have brought to the field of public health as a clinical health educator for the past twenty years. If you have any questions or feedback please contact me.
